Procare
January 2020 - April 2020
Procare is the No.1 name and brand in child care software. Used by more than 30,000 child care organizations across the country, the company made a number of strategic acquisitions over the past few years and needed a clear, unified message to combine Procare’s 30 year market leadership with the value of the newly acquired platforms. By aligning the products within a clear brand architecture and updating the visual brand with a more modern look, Procare was able to go to market with a compelling new story about their broader business value.

As a spin-out from workforce management giant – Kronos, the newly emerging company had a very focused offering – a tried and true hiring solution for distributed hourly workforces. The business’ technology had not been supported for quite some time yet it still was ingrained in the operations of its clients. As a stand-alone entity, the challenge was to name the company, clearly position their offering, and tell a benefit-driven story to shore up their existing client base and attract new ones. From here, our goal was to build something compelling that gave the incoming internal team a new brand to rally around and to project confidence about “NewCo’s” expertise.

With the merger of UniversalCIS and Credit Plus, seven different companies in the credit reporting space came together to form the largest player in the industry. But it was clear that the future of the company would extend beyond simply credit reporting – they now had the scale, knowledge, and ambition to revolutionize the mortgage verification industry. In order to unify its internal team and make a bold statement in the marketplace, this NewCo was renamed Xactus – a nod to the company’s focus on exacting precision and promise of purposeful innovation. The messaging & positioning, visual brand, and all other branded elements were developed to support this vision of innovating the mortgage verification industry.
